Background on Paul Shapiro of Better Meat:

Paul Shapiro is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Better Meat Co. In addition to being the CEO of the company, Paul is also the author of the national bestseller, Clean Meat: How Growing Meat Without Animals Will Revolutionize Dinner and the World, and the host of the Business For Good Podcast. He is a four-time TEDx speaker, he has twenty years of experience as a nonprofit executive and has published more than a hundred articles on food sustainability, from daily newspapers to academic journals. Paul lives in Sacramento, California with his wife Toni Okamoto, author and founder of Plant-Based on a Budget, and their very friendly pitbull Eddie.

The Better Meat Co. is a business-to-business startup that helps institutional food sellers achieve their goals of culinary excellence by providing mycoproteins and plant-based proteins for food service providers and meat processors to make their meat, in a word, better. Their mycoproteins and plant-based proteins work perfectly as the basis of fully plant-based meats, and blend seamlessly into ground meat products, enabling major food users to enhance the taste of their products while improving both health and sustainability, all in a cost-competitive way.
