- [3:15] Being a mobile DJ was Joel’s first entrepreneurial venture. He knew he could make more money doing gigs on wedding receptions, parties, and reunions.
- [8:27] In 1998, Yahoo acquired Joel’s ClassicGames.com, which became Yahoo Games. It was his first huge success in the internet.
- [11:47] In late 2003, Joel started making money online through Google AdSense. He wrote an ebook about AdSense and how someone can make good money out of it, and it went viral.
- [15:24] The ebook he wrote turned into an actual book titled The AdSense Code, which became a New York Time’s bestseller in 2006. The success of the book gave Joel the opportunity to be a speaker and teach people about his experiences.
- [18:45] Joel created and produced the first internet reality show called The Next Internet Millionaire. Joel regarded this project as groundbreaking and way ahead of its time.
