Background on Chaitenya Razdan of Care+Wear:

Chaitenya Razdan is the Founder and CEO of Care+Wear, which aims to bridge function and fashion in order to provide a more human healthcare experience. Chaitenya’s journey in the healthcare business began as a response to creating an alternative for a dear friend who was advised to cover and protect their PICC Line with a tube sock. Since then, Chaitenya and his team at Care+Wear have launched and evolved that product, a washable, antimicrobial, breathable, and machine-washable PICC Line Cover, brought to market clothing for patients needing access to chest ports, hospitals looking to bring more dignity to the patient experience by upgrading the traditional patient gown and so much more.

Care+WEar is a trusted brand in the Healthwear space, having reached millions of patients and giving them a much better healthcare experience. What started as a personal mission to create a better PICC Line Cover for a friend going through chemotherapy has become a platform to reimagine how the world looks at and feels about healthcare through creating clothing and accessories that will make everyone’s day just a little bit easier and more comfortable. Care+Wear is also committed to sharing a portion of its profits with like-minded non-profit institutions that make a difference. They are sharing up to 10% of their profits with leading institutions such as Stand Up 2 Cancer, The American Cancer Society, the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, March of Dimes, and many more.

Key Point from the Interview:

  • “We don’t believe in the final version. At Care & Wear, we are always looking to improve, we are always looking to iterate our products and I actually would think it’s a massive failure if 5 years from now the product hasn’t changed at all because that means we haven’t listened to our users, we haven’t listened to our community and it’s taking that approach to everything we do, I think is so important, and I think that’s what differentiates the good companies from the great companies.”
